Green Day

16th Mar 2011

On Wednesday 16th March the children of St Joseph's celebrated St Patrick's Day in style.  The school council organised a fun filled day for everyone.  Chief organisers were Hannah and Daniel and they had a very busy day making sure everything went smoothly.  The children began the day with guess the sweets and a colouring in competition.  During an extended break time there was face painting and a bun sale, before a penalty shoot out and basketball shoot out.  Following break time there was a really enjoyable assembly with each class performing a drama or song on an Irish Theme.  We also had songs from the choir and a series of jigs and reels from our Irish Dancers.  After lunch the children had a disco with Mickey Mouse leading the dance routines and competitions, some of the moves were something to behold!  When the infants went home at 2:00pm Primary 3 to P7 had a games afternoon taking turns on the Wii and Ipad.
