Having won their qualifying heat two weeks ago, our camogs attended the County Final Blitz at the Assumption and left with the silver medal after finishing second out of six teams. The girls started strongly by beating Portaferry before falling to eventual winners Hilltown in their second game. They drew with Grange (Kilkeel) before beating Magheramayo in a very tight game. They finished by drawing with Mayobridge before defeating Kircubbin in their last game. This meant we finished joint second and played Magheramayo again in a playoff for the silver medal. We eventually scored a golden goal to decide the outcome. Well done to the girls in a wonderful achievement!
