We had a fantastic time celebrating the International Day of Play at our school! 🌍✨ It was a wonderful opportunity to recognise the importance of play in children’s learning, wellbeing, and development—and our pupils certainly made the most of it. 😊
To mark the occasion, children came to school in their own clothes, adding an extra buzz of excitement to the day. The highlight of the day was an extra 31 minutes of play, giving pupils even more time to enjoy being active, creative, and social with their friends. From outdoor games to fun interactive literacy activities, the school was full of laughter, energy and smiles throughout the day. ⚽🎨🧩
Play is such a vital part of childhood, helping children to build friendships, develop confidence, and learn important life skills. We were delighted to celebrate this special day and to give our pupils the opportunity to simply enjoy being children. 💛
