Mission Statement

St. Joseph’s Reach Final of Netball Tournament

netball250St Joseph’s netball team reached the final of a tournament held in Holy Family P.S on Friday 4th June.  They began the day defeating St Brigid’d P.S Downpatrick 4-2.  This was followed up by a five nil defeat of Killinchy P.S.  They marched into the semi final were they once again played fantastic to defeat St Patricks P.S. Legamaddy 6-1.

These wonderful performances from the girls earned them a place in the final against Moneyreagh P.S. Unfortunately they were beaten three nil in an exciting final, with a little bit more luck in shooting they could definitely have won this game.  They received their runners up medals from Maeve Cahill who organised the tournament.  It was a very enjoyable day held in lovely weather and despite the loss in the final the girls played their hearts out all day.  They were great ambassadors for St Joseph’s P.S. and done the school proud.
